Exams are a vital part of college life and It is the aim of The City of Leicester College to make the examination experience as stress-free and successful as possible, placing students first.
We hope this information will prove helpful for students and parent/carers as you prepare to take your examinations. It includes details of the examination regulations and procedures you need to follow.

Leavers can collect their certificates between 9:00am – 2:30pm daily. You will need to bring photographic identification when you come to collect them. If you wish someone to collect your results for you, they will need to bring a letter from you and photographic identification of themselves.
Year 12 & 13’s can collect their certificates during P1 – 4 but must not collect during break, lunch or PM registration. Your lanyard will be used for identification but you will be asked other information at the time of collecting your certificates.
All other years can collect their certificates at break and lunch every day. You will not be allowed to collect them during lesson time. Your lanyard will be used as identification but you will be asked other information at the time of collecting your certificates.
Please check them carefully, ensure that the grade you are expecting is correct, your date of birth and your name is correct.
2019 certificates not collected by Summer 2020 will be destroyed in line with JCQ requirements.
2020 Exam Results Day
Please collect your results in person from the College on the following dates/times:
- A level / AS level – Thursday 13 August 2020 9.30am – 12.00pm
- GCSE / Vocational Lvl 1/2 – Thursday 20 August 2020 9.30am – 12pm
If you are unable to collect your results on the day, they will be available to collect from Wednesday 26th August 2020.
If you would like your statement of results to be sent home in the post, then you must provide a self-addressed envelope (A5 size) that has a stamp on it with an accompanying letter signed by yourself.
This must be handed into the exams office BEFORE Friday 10 July 2020.
