Partial Closure to Y8 & Y9 Students

UPDATE (30.11.2020):

As it stands we will have sufficient staffing levels to bring both year groups (Y8 and Y9) back on Thursday 3 December, but as you can appreciate the picture is ever changing.  If we need to revisit this decision, we will get in touch and give you as much notice as possible.  Again, thank you for your support and the positive messages you have sent through.  I want to reassure you that this decision was made to ensure we could provide a safe education rather than because of any rise in cases within the school.

Unfortunately, due to a pastoral staff shortage, and not due to positive cases, we have made the decision to close the school to Year 8 and Year 9 students for at least Monday 30th November, Tuesday 1st December and Wednesday 2nd December.

I know this will be frustrating for a number of you and we have not taken this decision lightly but it is impossible to allow them in the building when we cannot guarantee their safety.

Thank you for placing your trust in us and we will continue to work tirelessly to keep your child as safe as possible in these difficult times.
