City Mayor Peter Soulsby asked council officers to review catchment areas to ensure that all children in the city have fair access to a single catchment area school.

The proposals make the links between primary and secondary schools much clearer, so that parents have a better understanding of the paths open to them.

From 9am on Monday 5th December 2011, until 6pm on Friday 10th February 2012, respondents are invited to answer four questions about the review and to provide them with any further comments.

We are continuing to raise the standards across the college and we are still very hopeful that the college will benefit from the Government's Building Schools for the Future Programme.

Following excellent results last summer, exceding previous GCSE and A Level achievements, the challenge is to maintain and improve standards further. We are setting ambitious targets and have a clear action plan to achieve them.

A central action plan is to improve our communication and partnership work with parents. There is a suggestion box in the Reception which I hope parents will use. For specific communications with regards to your child, please use the student planner.
