Achievement & Ofsted

One of the key themes running through our college is to celebrate the many achievements which our students gain during their time with us.

These achievements come about through the partnerships built up between students, teacher and parents. Teachers enthuse, engage and motivate students, while students show resilience and confidence when tackling challenging activities. Intellectual curiosity and independent enquiry are encouraged and supported our links with parents.

As a result our students achieve in a wide range of areas, from excellent individual GCSE, Vocational and Advanced level examination results to acquiring many of the enterprising skills which we encourage as well as developing the many personal attributes highly regarded amongst staff, parents, employers and peers.

Students have the opportunity to excel in all areas: mathematics, english, science, the expressive and creative arts, PE, humanities, languages, social sciences, technology, ICT and business

Our GCSE results are consistently amongst the best in the City and we are particularly pleased with the very high number of students who finish their time with us having achieved significant number of recognised qualifications.

Our A level results have continued to demonstrate the skills and abilities of our students and the strength of our sixth form: over the past few years national progression data places us in the top 10% of colleges nationally.

The vast majority of our final year students go on to university; many of them are the first generation of their family to do so.
