16 - 19 Bursary Fund

BURSARY POLICY 2023 - 24

This fund was introduced by the Government to provide financial support to students who face a barrier by remaining in education due to their financial circumstances.

It is intended that the Bursary fund can help with transport to college, books, stationery, attending University open days and other course related costs, every claim is looked at on an individual basis.

Students will need to have their own bank account to be able to receive any bursary payments.

We would also encourage students to speak to staff if they are in need of financial assistance but do no fall into the bursary criteria.

All payments are dependent on attendance and behaviour, payments may be withheld or withdrawn if students do not meet the standards in the 6th Form Behaviour and Attendance Policy.

Students will be emailed a link with which to apply after they have enrolled with us.
